T he IMP (Individual Media Project) is unique to the Humanities and Communications Magnet of Eastern Middle School in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. Each child in the eighth grade class individually works on creative media projects. Students can create video, audio, multimedia, journalistic, or literary works. There is no constraint on the topic or interpreatation of the medium used. Excellent works of humor, information, and emotion have come about in this long-term endeavor.
